Introduction

Editors’ Statement

By Barbara Gates, Wes Nisker

Sangha and friends, the Inquiring Mind inquires again. Inbreath–outbreath, Issue Two. We hope you enjoy it and find something useful within its folds. . . .

We want to thank you all for your enthusiastic response to our first issue. It is fulfilling work and the subject matter helps us keep everything in perspective. In this issue we have initiated a book review section. . . .

2023 Editor’s Note: In this archive, we are not including out-of-date news about teachers’ plans, retreats, etc., nor copyrighted material excerpted from other publications (with occasional exceptions).

Inquiring Mind is an independent publication and does not represent the Insight Meditation Society or any particular teacher or ideology. This journal is produced for and supported by the Vipassana Sangha, and as such will reflect the interests of that community. Our collective purpose is to inspire, stimulate and share. We welcome controversy; we invite fresh perspectives. We will consider the ten thousand joys and ten thousand sorrows in all their multiple shapes and forms. We also send our metta.
