Scoby Beer first learned vipassana meditation from S. N. Goenka, outside Bombay, in 1972. He migrates between Berkeley, California, and the Rochester, New York, environs, and enjoys a diversity of pursuits, from healthcare to house tinkering to Rosen Method bodywork.
