I was singing

By Gary Turchin

I was singing

then my voice changed

then the tune changed

then the key

then I changed

to a bird

in a tree

then the tree changed

to sky

then the sky changed

and I couldn’t fly

then I changed

and I was I

again

but different

And you?

What was your song like?
