Poems/Not Poems | No Fixed Self

words within words

By Jon Ballangrud

There are words within words

and dreams within dreams

There are waves within waves

and paths within paths.

There are dances within dances

songs within songs

and hats within hats!

There is silence within silence

and light within light.

And even a prayer may

harbour ten thousand other prayers

the prayer knows not of.
